Currently, 122 green small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are supported with capacity building to prepare to access finance. UGEFA has received over 1900 registrations for the programme and is proud to collaborate with 122 selected green enterprises from the five sectors of green manufacturing, clean energy, sustainable transport, waste management and sustainable tourism across Uganda.

On 09 December 2021, the Green Finance Dialogue Forum 2021 brought together 130 financiers, policy-makers, enterprise support organisations and green businesses to explore pathways for expanding access to finance and capacity building for green SMEs across sectors. The forum focused on the theme: "The Future of Finance is Green: Leveraging SMEs for Uganda's Green Growth". The forum was fully funded by the European Union.

The second group of UGEFA-supported SMEs started the hands-on interactive Catalyser workshops, where enterprises work with peers on key topics for financial readiness and growth and benefit from expert business advisory. These workshops, for 8 groups of around 10 SMEs, are running from September 2021 to February 2022. UGEFA Business Advisors are passionate to support green enterprises scale up their businesses.
